One of the Seasiders' best buys in recent seasons, Alex Baptiste has proven that there are plenty of talented footballers in the lower leagues just waiting to be given a chance to shine.
Relegated with Mansfield from League Two, the 24-year-old has capped off an incredible rise through the divisions as he prepares to play in the Barclays Premier League. The centre-back hasn't looked back since making his first ever start for Blackpool against Wolves in November 2008.
Baptiste started 44 league fixtures last season and got himself on the score-sheet on three occasions.
