'Evo' proved somewhat of an inspirational signing when he arrived at Bloomfield initially on loan from Queens Park Rangers. His no-nonsense attitude endeared him to the Pool supporters and it wasn't long until Simon Grayson made the move for the centre-back permanent. Last season 'Evo' was in great form for the Tangerines and his partnership with Michael Jackson steadied the ship at the back for the team that led to the ten match unbeaten run at the end of last season.

After starting this season for the team, Evo was ruled out for a couple of months through injury after leaving the field in the home fixture against Colchester. The defender was forced to have an operation on his knee ligaments but returned to the first team as a substitute in the victory over Preston at Deepdale.

The former Chesterfield defender became a regular in the heart of the Pool defence and impressed Simon Grayson enough to make the move permanent. His campaign this season has been dogged by injury with the defender currently sidelined with medial knee ligament damage.
