Reserves Record 1-0 Win
The Seasiders reserve team recorded a 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday night.
Pool who included first team hopefuls Marc Joseph, Danny Coid, Kaspars Gorkss, Simon Gillett and Marcus Bean were made to work hard by a inexperienced Tranmere side.
The only goal of the game came shortly before half time when Simon Gillett reacted the quickest to fire home after Ben Hinchcliffe had saved Gillett's penalty.
Matthew Kay came close to adding a second mid way through the second half but his rasping strike whistled just over.
