Former Notts County boss Billy Dearden returned to the club in the summer of '08 after originally being at the club as Colin Hendry's assistant manager in June 2004.

The former Oldham and Sheffield United striker accepted an invitation from manager Simon Grayson to come back to Bloomfield Road in the role of Chief Scout following the departure of Clive Richards to Bolton.   

Prior to coming back Billy had been the manager at Mansfield Town from December 2006 until March 2008.
