MacKenzie is now in his second spell at Bloomfield Road, having joined the club permanently from MK Dons in the summer.

The centre-half initially joined Pool on-loan at the back end of the 2012/13 season from MK Dons before agreeing a permanent deal with the Club in July.

His first goal for The Seasiders came while on-loan and it was an important one too as he bundled home the winner in the 2-1 victory at promotion-chasing Watford, which also handed Paul Ince his first win as manager.

He got off the mark in the 2013/14 season with the second in Blackpool's 3-1 win on the opening day at Doncaster Rovers.

The Scot, who started his career at Rangers, previously worked with assistant manager Alex Rae as a player at Dundee.
