After joining initially on-loan from QPR in 2006, 'Evo' has become a firm fixture at the heart of the Blackpool defence.
In the promotion-winning season of 2006-07 the centre-back formed a solid partnership with Michael Jackson that saw the club go 10 games unbeaten all the way through to Wembley.
The former Derby County and Chesterfield centre-back has continued to improve at Bloomfield Road and achieved his second promotion - this time to the Barclays Premier League - when partnering Alex Baptiste against Cardiff City at Wembley.
The defender was one of the Seasiders' star performers in their debut season in the Premier League and the 29-year-old even helped himself to a goal in the 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers last November. He capped off that season by being named the Blackpool Fans' Player of the Year.
Last season he was again at the heart of the Blackpool defence and made a total of 40 league starts, with a further two appearances coming off the bench.
