Jack Redshaw joined Blackpool in July 2015 and was utilised best behind the striker last season.
The striker signed for an undisclosed fee from Morecambe on a two-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
Across his three-and-a-half years with The Shrimps the striker netted 38 times, including on 12 occasions last season.
Having progressed through the Manchester City academy, Redshaw previously turned out for the likes of Rochdale and Altrincham, before finding his feet at the Globe Arena.
Redshaw bagged his first Blackpool goal in August against Burton Albion and followed it up with an equaliser against Barnsley at Bloomfield Road.
A reliable customer from the penalty spot, Redshaw netted crucial goals from 12 yards and headed Pool's opener at Crewe Alexandra in March.
