One of the more experienced heads in the Blackpool camp, Jim McAlister provides versatility to the squad.
Able to play centrally and wide, the midfielder proved a regular last season after penning a two-year deal at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further 12 months.
The former Dundee midfielder brings a wealth of experience with him to the club, having spent his entire career playing regularly in his native Scotland.
McAlister, 29, made 123 appearances for Dundee over three seasons and helped the club to a sixth place finish in the SPL last year.
A previous team mate of Blackpool’s Kyle Letheren from their time at Dens Park, prior to that McAlister spent eight years at Greenock Morton.
