Having scored plenty of goals against Blackpool throughout his career, Michael Chopra officially became a Seasider in July 2013.

The striker joined the club from Ipswich Town, where he scored 18 league goals in 78 appearances.

A product of the Newcastle United academy system, Chopra represented England at various youth levels and made 21 league appearances for his boyhood club.

After loan spells with Nottingham Forest, Watford and Barnsley, Chopra joined Cardiff City in 2006, a club he would later move to again in 2009 after a stint with Sunderland. Chopra's permanent return to Cardiff cost The Bluebirds £3 million.
