Dobbie first arrived at Blackpool on loan from Swansea City in 2010, and helped guide The Seasiders to the Premier League the following May.
The striker had previously played his football in Scotland, where he was a huge success at Queen of the South, before moving to Swansea on a free transfer.
Dobbie then joined Blackpool on loan in February 2010, and netted in the play-off semi-final at Nottingham Forest, which helped send Pool through to the Wembley final, and then the top flight.
He then guided Swansea to promotion in 2011, before returning to Blackpool for a second stint the following season.
Another play-off goal at Birmingham City set up a third successive play-off final, but Dobbie was on the losing side this time.
After spells at Brighton and Crystal Palace, the 30-year-old returned to Bloomfield Road in September 2013 for a third stint, and reopened his account with a last minute winner at Forest in November.
Now Dobbie is back for his fourth stint, which began with a subbed appearance at Blackburn Rovers.
