Signed for an undisclosed fee from Bristol City in July 2013, striker Steven Davies became Blackpool's fourth signing of the summer.
The Liverpool-born forward started his career at Tranmere Rovers and made his first-team debut for the club at the age of 17. His impressive form under the management of Ronnie Moore saw Derby County make a move for him in June 2008.
While at Pride Park, Davies suffered a near-career ending head injury and required 10 metal plates in his skull. He bounced back from the set-back though and left The Rams in 2012 having scored 23 goals in 83 league appearances.
Davies spent last season with Bristol City and scored 13 goals in 37 games, despite the club eventually being relegated to League One.
At Bloomfield Road Davies scored three times in 29 appearances during his first season with the club, including a Goal of the Season contender at Reading in January 2014.
In his second season the striker notched crucial goals against the likes of Rotherham United, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic.
