Fixture | Charlton Athletic vs Blackpool – Date | 23 December 2017 – Venue | The Valley
The festive fixture period gets firmly underway tomorrow, as Blackpool travel to Charlton for the first of four games in nine days.
The Seasiders will be aiming to end a run of three straight defeats in Sky Bet League One, while The Addicks are similarly looking to bounce back from two straight losses.
Last Time Out:
A 1-0 defeat at second-placed Shrewsbury Town was a frustrating one to accept for Blackpool last Saturday, with a penalty appeal turned down and The Shrews scoring with their only shot on target.
Charlton, meanwhile, fell to a 2-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers, with Danny Graham wrapping up the three points in added time.
Strikers Kyle Vassell and Mark Cullen remain sidelined, so opportunities once again present themselves for other forwards to step up. Ollie Turton also misses the trip to South East London but isn't expected to be too far off a return.
Ex-Blackpool man Billy Clarke will miss out on the opportunity to face his former club after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament. The Irishman will now miss the rest of the season. A number of others are currently absent for Charlton, including Jason Pearce, Ricky Holmes and Jake Forster-Caskey.
Match Betting Odds:
