Fixture | Oxford United vs Blackpool – Date | Saturday 6 January – Venue | Kassam Stadium
Blackpool make their first ever visit to the Kassam Stadium tomorrow, as The Seasiders aim to build on a good start to 2018.
Three points separate the two sides going into the match, with Oxford United on 35 points in Sky Bet League One and Blackpool on 32.
Last Time Out:
Blackpool got back to winning ways in Sky Bet League One with a 2-1 victory at Rochdale. Nathan Delfouneso and Kelvin Mellor found the net for The Seasiders to end an eight-game winless run and make it four points from the last two matches.
Pep Clotet's Oxford picked up three points against MK Dons with a 3-1 win on home soil. That result also ended a four-match run in the league without a victory.
Ollie Turton and Callum Cooke have recovered sufficiently from minor issues to remain part of the squad, while goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi could retain his place between the sticks. Andy Taylor, Mark Cullen, Kyle Vassell and Dolly Menga are still sidelined.
The hosts will be without the services of suspended left-back Ricardinho, so Dwight Tiendalli is set to deputise. Rob Dickie, a January transfer window arrival from Reading, could make his debut for The U's.
