Blackpool put their five-match unbeaten run to the test at Sunderland tonight, as they visit the Stadium of Light for the first time since 2010.
The Seasiders, who recorded a 2-0 victory at home to Walsall on the weekend, will be aiming to make full use of one of their games in hand in Sky Bet League One.
Sunderland, meanwhile, are also playing catch-up on the match front and are yet to taste defeat in 2019. They drew with Oxford United last time out.
Jay Spearing once again misses out for Blackpool, having been ruled out for a month with a knee injury. Saturday's off the bench debutants Matty Virtue and Antony Evans will be pushing for starts though, should manager Terry McPhillips decide to rotate.
As for Sunderland, they could hand a home debut to striker Will Grigg following his appearance against Oxford United on Saturday. Midfielder Lee Cattermole has returned to training, but this game could come a little too soon.
Carl Boyeson will officiate the fixture between the sides, having previously taken charge Blackpool's match at Peterborough United in September.
He has refereed 27 games so far this season, showing 97 yellow cards and four red ones.
Supporters still interested in attending tonight's match can purchase tickets directly from the stadium.
Tickets are priced at:
- £20 for Adults
- £17.50 for Over-65s
- £12.50 for Under-22s
- £7.50 for Under-16s
Please note: cash only payments will be accepted for adult tickets on the turnstiles, with concessions tickets available to purchase from the Sunderland ticket office, adjacent to the East Stand of the stadium.
