The Youth team made it 11 Youth Alliance wins in a row, beating Morecambe convincingly by three goals to nil at Parkside Road on Saturday.
Tayt Trusty opened the scoring with his second consecutive goal in the space of week before Brad Holmes was gifted a free run at goal to eventually finish past Andre Mendes in the Morecambe goal.
Holmes then turned provider again, playing Rob Apter in with a fantastic through ball, which he despatched comfortably.
The Seasiders looked in the mood from the off and they took the game to Morecambe. Luke Mariette slipped James Harrison in down the right channel with a lovely through ball, though Harrison’s eventual effort on goal was cleared off the line.
Apter then looked to have won his side a penalty when he was bundled over in the area and the referee blew his whistle, but after consulting with his linesman, he changed his mind and gave a goal-kick.
This didn’t stop Danny Ventre’s men in their tracks, as a free-flowing counter-attack started with Harrison playing Holmes in behind the Shrimps defence. He set his sights on goal but unselfishly picked out Trusty arriving late, who slotted past Mendes to give his side the lead.
Trusty then fancied a second goal moments later, though his snapshot was blocked and out for a corner, which Morecambe cleared with ease.
Blackpool were in the ascendency, with Apter curling an effort inches wide before having a volley blocked and cleared by the Morecambe defence.
Persistent pressure then paid off for the Seasiders when Holmes picked up a loose ball in the final third to drive at goal and dink over Mendes.
The first-half, which was all Blackpool, was rounded off two minutes later by Apter, after Holmes slid him in to curl around Mendes and into the net.
Half-Time: Morecambe 0-3 Blackpool
Ventre’s men started the second-half just like they finished the first. Harrison fizzed a ball across the face of goal for Apter, but he couldn’t quite make contact with the cross to turn home. He then kept the ball alive, cutting back onto his left foot to shoot, but Mendes held well.
Apter was seeing a lot of the ball. This time, Connor Pye allowed the tricky winger into the area, though he dragged a shot wide of the post.
Morecambe grew into the game slightly in the second-half. Bobby Flitcroft floated a free-kick into the area but out for a goal-kick.
The Seasiders, however, looked assured throughout. Harrison was still battling away in the final ten minutes and won his side a free-kick; Moore took, but Mendes held comfortably.
With not a lot of chances created by either side in the second half, the Young Seasiders did enough in the first 45 to secure a vital three points.
