Defender Set To Become A FatherBlackpool manager Ian Holloway has revealed that Neal Eardley may miss tomorrow's clash against Ipswich Town, if his partner goes into labour.
The right-back plans to be at the birth of his first child no matter what, and Ollie wouldn't have it any other way.
"We've all been on edge asking him for news," he said. "The young man is growing up, he's been in a team a long time now because he started very early at Oldham. I can see total maturity in what he's doing now and I'm absolutely delighted for him.
"All the lads know we're all part of it and our family is going to get even bigger when the baby's born.
"Hopefully it will happen at a time that's convenient and he won't miss the game. I wouldn't want him to miss the birth of his first child, let alone any child that you have. That's obviously more important than what we're trying to do, but hopefully we can do all of it and still concentrate on the business in hand."
Ian Evatt and Barry Ferguson are both fit to return to the squad, with the manager having something of a selection poser on his hands.
"I'm going to have a headache," Ollie admitted. "All I will say, whatever I do and however I do it, I'll try and pick the right team to try and put a performance on against Ipswich."
