Blackpool's international contingent endured an evening of mixed fortunes representing their respective countries last night.

Craig Cathcart starred alongside Jonny Evans in the centre of defence as Northern Ireland held out for a point against Portugal, while Nathan Delfouneso and Tom Ince helped the England Under-21s qualify for Euro 2013 with victory over Serbia.

Matt Phillips made a cameo appearance off the bench for Scotland in a 2-0 defeat to Belgium, with Matt Gilks an unused substitute.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Chris Kettings made the trip back to Blackpool having made his Under-21 debut for Scotland against Canada in Marbella. The 19-year-old kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory.

All the players will now report back to training tomorrow to begin preparations for the Lancashire derby against Burnley on Saturday.
