Seasiders Face Terriers
A host of familiar faces will be back at Bloomfield Road tomorrow evening as the Seasiders welcome Huddersfield Town.
Former player and manager, Simon Grayson won promotion with the Terriers in May at Wembley and has got his side off to a fine start, losing just one of their opening six games.
Peter Clarke and Keith Southern are expected to play against their former club but Adam Hamill is set to miss out with a knee injury.
Blackpool will be aiming to make it four victories from their opening four home games after wins against Leeds, Ipswich and Middlesbrough so far this term.
The Seasiders have met the Terriers 82 times in competitive matches with Blackpool winning 33, losing 28 and drawing on 21 occasions.

18 November 2006 – Blackpool 3-1 Huddersfield
After losing 1-0 at Cardiff on the opening day they have gone unbeaten in their last five league games, winning three and drawing two.
Huddersfield is the third side that Simon Grayson has won promotion with from League One. He also gained promotion to the Championship with Blackpool in 2007 and with Leeds United in 2010.
Despite leaving for Blackburn at the end of August, Jordan Rhodes is still Town’s joint top scorer alongside Adam Clayton with two league goals this term.
Thomas Ince has played a part in 11 of Blackpool’s goals this season, scoring six and assisting five.
Only on one occasion out of the last seven meetings in league and cup have both teams scored in the fixture. That was in Blackpool’s 3-1 win in November 2006.
The goalkeeper for Blackpool the last time the sides met in the league was England and Manchester City’s number one, Joe Hart.
In Keith Southern’s ten years at Blackpool, he made 327 starts, scored 32 goals, received 46 yellow cards and was sent off on two occasions.
Matt Gilks, Neal Eardley, Alex Baptiste, Thomas Ince and Gary Taylor-Fletcher are the five Blackpool players to have started all of the Seasiders’ league games this season.
Tony Bates (Staffordshire)
The last time Mr. Bates refereed a game involving Blackpool was in April this year when he oversaw the Seasiders 1-0 win over Leeds at Bloomfield Road.
Angel Martinez scored for Ian Holloway’s side while Darren O’Dea was sent off late on for the whites.
