Defender Hoping To Continue Good Start
Neal Eardley is hoping for 'more of the same' after playing in his 100th game for Blackpool against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.
The right-back is in his fourth season at Bloomfield Road and is currently enjoying a good run in the side having started all of the Seasiders' games this season.
Eardley is enjoying his football but is taking nothing for granted, knowing that there is plenty of competition for places at the club.
"I don't expect to be playing every game.
"I just get my head down in the week in training and I just hope that the gaffer picks me. I have been lucky enough to play every game so far and I hope that can continue.
"I know that there's lads who aren't playing who can come in and do a job so I've just got to keep my head down and keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully I will keep getting selected and that will be good enough," added Eardley.
The Seasiders welcome Huddersfield Town on Monday night and the 23-year-old knows it won't be easy going up against a Simon Grayson side that has only lost once in the league this season.
"I think Simon Grayson, who obviously used to be here, will have the lads fired up for that one.
"There are no easy games in this division, everybody knows that, so we've just got to concentrate on what we're doing and what we work on in the week.
"We'll take that into Monday's game and hopefully we will get the right result," said Eardley.
