Up The Pool Preview

23 August 2013

Pick Up Your Copy Of The Matchday Magazine Tomorrow

The second Up The Pool of the season has been sent to print and with the new-look matchday magazine selling out for the first home game against Barnsley it may be wise to arrive early to pick up your copy.

This week's edition is full of more exclusive content and jam-packed with news and interviews for you to enjoy before and after the match or over a hot drink or pie at half-time.

Three years on since his debut, Chris Basham looks back on what has been an eventful year for the Club and himself, while also revealing who would be the outfield player who would go in net should anything happen to Matt Gilks or Mark Halstead.

Pool team-mate and summer signing Gary MacKenzie speaks about laying the foundations at the back, while revealing he still harbours hopes of playing for his country.

Matt Gilks is the next to face 'Quest10ns' in which he recalls the first ever football shirt he had as a child, while Angel Martinez keeps us all up to date with what he has been up to over the past week in 'Angel's Diary'.

Former loanee and Play-Off Final scorer Robbie Williams is this week's Q&A star as he looks back on his short, but highly successful time at Bloomfield Road.

We look in depth at visitors Reading, providing a dossier on tomorrow's opposition as well as hearing from Jem Karacan after last week's 3-3 draw with Watford.

Thomas Ince's 'Sketch A Seasider' of Chris Basham is assessed and graded by Up The Pool, while regular columnists Ian Chisnall and Will Watt offer their views on Blackpool's start to the season and look ahead to the remainder of the transfer window.

Up The Pool speak exclusively to recently retired referee Mark Halsey on the Goal Decision System that is now available to all Premier League clubs and ask just how long will it be before we see such technology in the Football League?

Loads more can be found inside, including the former Premier League player who had the honour of meeting the Pope last week, so make sure you pick up your copy before kick-off.
