Seasiders Lose Out In FriendlyFormer Blackpool youth product Danny Mitchley scored twice as Kendal Town beat a Blackpool XI 3-1 at the Cosyseal Stadium.
Manager Paul Ince opted to use the game as an opportunity to take a look at a number of trialists, including the brother of midfielder Isaiah Osbourne, Isaac.
The likes of Mark Halstead and Liam Tomsett also started the match, as did Bob Harris who was making his first appearance of pre-season following a thigh strain, lining up at centre-back.
Kendal took the lead through Jordan Connerton, before Mitchley scored his first of the evening. Caleb Folan, who has been training with The Seasiders for the past three weeks, pulled one back from the penalty spot prior to half-time.
Mitchley extended Kendal's advantage after the interval though, while Pool introduced a number of substitutes to give the likes of Anderson Banvo and Tom Barkhuizen minutes on the field. Reigning youth team Player of the Year Harrison McGahey was also given a run-out, as was goalkeeper Connor Hunt.
Despite the changes, the score remained 3-1 until the referee blew the final whistle.
