Work On Bloomfield Road Begins
Work on the Bloomfield Road playing surface has already started ahead of next season.
The ground staff are currently part the way through removing the top 40mm of organic matter using a Koro Field Top Maker.
Following the removal of the organic matter, the existing fibre sand will be power harrowed and left to oxygenate for 24 hours on the recommendation of Mansfield Sand.
Next, the club ground staff will apply approximately 319 tonnes of fibre sand supplied by Mansfield Sand, which will be split into three stages.
Once all the fibre sand has been applied the final surface will be prepared using a Harley Rotary Rake.
Approximately sixteen 25kg bags of Bar Seven RPR grass seed will also be used across the surface.
