The Sky Bet Championship promotion battle is looking even tighter after leaders Burnley dropped points, allowing the chasing pack to close in.

The Clarets remain top following a 2-2 draw at Millwall but have drifted from 6/1 to 15/2 for the title with the Football League’s title sponsor, while Leicester are the main movers in the other direction.

An impressive 3-0 victory at fellow promotion hopefuls Watford saw The Foxes move to just a point behind Burnley, prompting their title odds to shorten to 7/2, while they are evens for promotion.

QPR remain favourites at 6/5 for the title after inflicting a first defeat on Derby under the leadership of Steve McClaren, who had seen his Rams pick up seven points from nine available since taking charge.

Blackpool sit fourth after winning 1-0 at Nottingham Forest, who remain in the play-offs but are out from 11/4 to 100/30 for promotion, prompting The Seasiders to come in from 10/1 to 7/1.

Leeds climbed to eighth with a 2-0 victory over Yeovil and have come in from 12/1 to 10/1 to go up, while Blackburn are the same price as they sit a point behind following a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Wigan are 9/2 for an immediate return to the Premier League following their 2-1 victory over Huddersfield, while Brighton, who sit a point further back, have been cut from 12/1 to 10/1 following a 3-1 triumph at Doncaster.
