Sky Bet Preview: Blackpool vs Ipswich

8 November 2013

Latest Odds For Saturday's Game

We're set for another action-packed weekend in the Sky Bet Championship, with the gap between the top-four and the rest of the pack starting to take shape going into week 15.

Blackpool will look to continue their fine start to the season when they entertain an Ipswich side who are yet to win on their travels this season. The Seasiders are unbeaten in seven games going into the weekend's game, after a last-gasp Stephen Dobbie goal gave them victory at Nottingham Forest last time out.

As a result they sit comfortably in the play-off mix with 27 points from 14 games, and remain unbeaten at home, with their opponents sitting 13th in the table, six points shy of the play-offs.

Therefore, Blackpool are a strong bet to continue their unbeaten run, and are available to back outright at 5/4 against the Tractor Boys.

In addition to this Blackpool have defeated the Tractor Boys in their last three home games, including a 6-0 thrashing last season with Tom Ince notching a double.

If you fancy The Seasiders to add to the five clean sheets they have kept at home this season, the "Win to Nil" market represents decent value for this weekend's game, with the Tangerines priced at 11/4.

Other reasons to bet:
- Blackpool remain the only club in all four divisions not to have allowed the opposition to score the opening goal, so with the likes of Tom Ince and Stephen Dobbie priced at 9/2 and 9/1 to score first, a couple of quid on either wouldn't be a bad bet to go with.

- After his last-gasp heroics last weekend, Dobbie is great value to score anything against Ipswich, priced at 3/1 with Sky Bet.

- Dan Gosling opened the scoring the last time Blackpool were at home, and he's 14/1 to do it again this weekend.
