Broadfoot: Good To Be At Home

20 September 2013

Defender Ready For Leicester Test

Kirk Broadfoot says the players are looking forward to being back at home this weekend, after a 'tough' few days on the road.

Back-to-back trips to Bournemouth and Millwall were always likely to test the squad, with The Seasiders unbeaten start coming to an end on Tuesday night.

"It was two hard away trips and we've taken three points from the two games, which maybe we would have taken at the beginning of that," the 29-year-old said.

"It's good to be back home with another difficult game against a Leicester side right in form just now."

The Foxes are level on points with Blackpool near the top of the Sky Bet Championship, and the defender is well aware of the obstacle that the players will face.

"They're a huge threat, they've got quality all over the pitch and last year they were unlucky not to make the play-off final," he said. "They've probably added this year again and they're one of the big spenders in the league.

"They'll probably be even better this year because the players they had last year will probably know each other more. They're on a rich vein of form right now so we're not getting carried away with the start we've had. If we're not at our best then we know Leicester will punish us," he added.
