Striker Fully Recovered From Injury And Looking Forward To Huddersfield TestSteven Davies returned to first-team action in last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Leicester City after missing the four games previous due to injury and the striker admits he is glad to be back amongst things.
His last start came in the 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough in the middle of August and although he has found it tough watching on, it has been made easier by the side continuing to pick up points.
"It's nice to be back. It was a frustrating couple of weeks as it was an injury where I couldn't really do much rehabilitation for it so it was more the fact that I just needed to rest and let it settle down.
"You ask any player, you always want to be out there and I think it's actually harder watching because you know you can't affect the game, at least if you're playing or in the squad you know you might get your chance and you can do something about it, so it is frustrating watching.
With Davies back in the fold and the addition of Stephen Dobbie to the attacking options, the manager may have a welcomed selection head-ache ahead of the game against Huddersfield Town this evening.
"With any successful team you've got to have competition for place and you look around and there are two or three players that can play in everyone else's position, so it keeps everyone on their toes and it's nice situation for the gaffer.
It will obviously be Davies' first time at Huddersfield with the Blackpool squad, but the forward has played there plenty of times before and knows what to expect this evening.
"I've played there a few times and it's a very big pitch, but I think that will suit us because we like to get the ball down and get it wide to the players we've got who can create stuff, so I actually think it can play to our benefit that the pitch is so big, if we can get our match winners on the ball then hopefully they can do it for us.
"It will be a game that we will have to be at out top to make sure we get something from it, but we are confident."
