Non-League Day Returns

5 September 2013

Take In Some Non League Action This Weekend

Non-League Day, the campaign to promote semi-professional and grass roots football, returns for a fourth consecutive season on Saturday (7 September).

With no Premier League or Championship fixtures taking place due to internationals, supporters are encouraged to get their football fix by taking in a Non-League game.

AFC Fylde are in action at home to Matlock, AFC Blackpool are away at West Didsbury and Chorlton, while two young Blackpool players - Liam Tomsett and Louis Almond - will be playing for Hyde FC against Cambridge United.
The newly-launched Non League Day website features a wealth of information on this year’s campaign, including a handy match finder here

Speaking of this year’s event, Campaign Manager Mike Bayly advised: “Whether you’re a Premier League or Championship fan without a game, a League One or League Two supporter who can’t make an away trip, or just someone who is curious about what their local club has to offer, there is sure to be something to interest everyone."
