Sky Bet Preview: Blackpool-Leicester

20 September 2013

Odds For Saturday's Game

Home teams couldn’t be beaten in midweek but can an away team end the streak as we head into another action packed weekend in the Sky Bet Championship.

Read on for Sky Bet’s take on Blackpool’s chances this weekend.

The Seasiders face Leicester in a top of the table clash at Bloomfield Road tomorrow - and their home form is exceptional, with just one loss in eleven matches and six wins in seven at Bloomfield Road. Furthermore, Blackpool’s record against top-six opposition is very good, with just one loss in six games, and victories in the last two. Sky Bet offers fantastic value at 2/1

This top of the table clash is likely to be very tight and goals will be hard to come by. In four of Blackpool’s last five home matches against top-six sides, there have been under 1.5 goals. The last three matches at Bloomfield Road have ended 1-0 to the home team, and in nine of their last ten home games, there have been less than 1.5 goals. Last season, this fixture finished 0-0, and it is highly likely there will be very few goals this weekend as well. Under 2.5 goals is a very reasonable 4/5 while under 1.5 goals is 9/4, which is excellent value.

Other reasons to bet:

- Blackpool have been level at half-time in their last five home matches against top-six teams 11/10
- Tangerines have had Draw/Draw results in their last four draws at Bloomfield Road 4/1
- Blackpool have won their last four home matches 2/1
