Barry Delighted With Wigan ResultBarry Ferguson praised a real team effort as Blackpool beat Wigan Athletic at The DW Stadium.
Goals from Andy Keogh and Stephen Dobbie moved The Seasiders out of the relegation zone, with the second-half display in particular very promising.
"That's the way I want to play, I want to get the ball down and counter attack. The boys did that, and after the first goal you just saw the confidence flowing out of them," Ferguson said.
"The spirit and effort was phenomenal, and I've said that from the word 'go'. I'm just glad that they're now proving certain people wrong."
Backed by 3,600 fans in the away end, Ferguson was quick to credit the role that the supporters had as well.
"The fans were awesome, from the first minute right through to the 94th minute. The support certainly helps because the fans are always a 12th man."
The task now is to make sure of Championship safety with a result against Charlton next weekend.
"We've got to get the job done. The hard work has paid off today but we're not going to rest here.
"We look forward to next Saturday now. My preparation will start for Charlton tonight on the way up the road," he added.
