Barry Looks For Response From PlayersBarry Ferguson says tonight's game against Derby County is all about a reaction, as The Seasiders look to bounce back from defeat to Yeovil Town.
75 hours on from the events of Saturday, the players will take to the field again looking to make amends against a side currently in play-off contention.
Backing his players to respond in the right manner, Ferguson quickly selected his side for the match over the weekend.
"I had a horrible Saturday and Sunday, as the players probably did as well," he said. "We just need to get on with it because we've got six games and 18 points to play for. It's in our hands now.
"I know my team, I made my decision on Sunday. It took me less than 24 hours to think of my team. I know what I'm going with and it's going to try and win the game."
A number of other key clashes in the division will take place away from Bloomfield Road this evening, yet that won't deter from Blackpool need to do.
"The only thing that concerns me is Blackpool. Whatever happens with other teams, that's up to them," Ferguson admitted. "Saturday was a big disappointment for myself, the players and the fans. Now we need a reaction again, which I've had from the boys in the past. I've no doubt I'll get that.
"That just wasn't the boys I know on Saturday, especially in the first-half. We started well enough for the first five minutes, and that's the way I wanted to start. We just didn't get out of the traps, it's as simple as that. It was a disappointing day all round.
"We can't dwell on it because we haven't got enough time to dwell on it, we just need to move forward because we've got a massive game against Derby. We've got a home game and we'll all need to go out and prove a point to the fans," he added.
