Pre-Match Brief: Burnley

17 April 2014

Lancashire Derby Preview

Blackpool's Easter weekend of football kicks-off with a Lancashire derby at home to Burnley tomorrow (Good Friday).

The Sky TV cameras will be in town to televise the 5.15pm fixture, with the two sides in search of three points for very different reasons.

Blackpool will once again be without the injured Kirk Broadfoot, Steven Davies and Ricardo Fuller, although Robert Earnshaw has returned to training and could be in contention to make the squad.

The visitors will be without the services of Sam Vokes after the Wales international ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament last month.

Manager Views:

Barry Ferguson:
"It's a local derby and if you can't get up for that, then you've got a serious problem. I don't really need to say too much about what's expected."

Sean Dyche: "Whatever the occasion, we've delivered performances all season. We're just looking to concentrate and focus on that again."

Ticket News

On police advice, tickets will not be sold on the day of the game. Blackpool supporters with a previous purchase history can buy tickets until 5.15pm today (Thursday).

The ticket booth for pre-arranged ticket collections will be open from 2pm on Good Friday.

Match Officials

Michael Oliver will officiate the game between the sides. No stranger to the Lancashire derby, he refereed a fixture between the two teams in October 2012. Mark Hayward has been confirmed as fourth official.

Up The Pool

The latest edition of Up The Pool, the club's matchday magazine, will be on sale around the ground and from the club shop prior to kick-off, priced at just £3.

Jack Robinson is the subject of our main interview for the game, while Tom Barkhuizen, Tony Livesey and Burnley's Michael Duff also feature.
