Midfielder's Thoughts Pre-WiganTomasz Cywka says Blackpool should have nothing to fear when they travel to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The Seasiders are yet to register a point so far, but come up against a Latics side with only one draw of their own from the opening three games.
Ex-Wigan man Cywka has been an ever-present since his summer arrival from Barnsley, and is sensing a win on his old stomping ground.
“They haven’t had a great start themselves,” he said. “A win would set us on the right track, it could just be a case of one win for a boost of confidence and it will be easier from there.
“Despite the results, we feel good and are still learning as a team. On the one hand I’m happy to play personally, but not happy with the results. It can only get better and I’m sure we’ll get there.”
The midfielder, who spent four seasons at the DW Stadium, has experienced a busy start to life at Bloomfield Road, having played four games in under two weeks.
And Saturday’s goal scorer feels the squad will now benefit from more time on the training ground, as they look to climb up the league table.
“We’ve had so many games, so we couldn’t really put much time in on the training ground. We couldn’t do as much as we wished off the field, so the next two or three weeks will be crucial.
“Obviously it wasn’t going to be easy, we are all getting to know each other every single day.
“We just keep going, there is nothing else we can do. We still believe that we can really improve, and the points will soon appear on the table,” said Cywka.
