Lundstram Becomes A Seasider

6 August 2014

Midfielder Joins On Loan

John Lundstram has joined Blackpool on a season-long loan from Premier League side Everton.

The 20-year-old midfielder progressed through the ranks at Goodison Park and is now set for his fourth loan spell away.

Last season the Liverpudlian spent time with Yeovil Town, and scored against The Seasiders in December, before joining Leyton Orient.

While playing for the England youth sides Lundstram worked with Noel Blake, and is now set to make his Blackpool debut at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

On the move, Lundstram said: “It’s a good challenge to come into. It’s a Championship club, which is where I want to be playing, so I’m really excited to get started.

“We’ve got the whole season to try and build the team up, and get good relationships with everyone. It obviously won’t come straight away, but with a full season we’ll build relationships and hopefully build towards having a good finish.”
