Away Days: Charlton Athletic

11 December 2014

Plan Saturday's Trip

Blackpool make their third trip to London this season on Saturday, hoping to pick up a first away victory of the campaign.

A stadium familiar to the Premier League in the not so distant past, The Valley is where Pool will be looking to extend their three-match unbeaten run.

The final pre-Christmas away day, The Seasiders travel in good spirits, and here is the guide on getting there.

By Car
Over 250 miles separate Blackpool and The Valley, with supporters advised to allow in excess of five hours to drive, especially taking the Christmas traffic into consideration.

By Train
Supporters are advised to travel from Preston to London Euston if they're to use the train. The trip takes a little over two hours, while the nearest tube station is Charlton, and it is about a five minute walk to the stadium.

The Valley has been standing since 1919 and was renovated to its current standard in 1991, having undergone seven years of work.

The stadium can now hold 27,111 supporters and has previously been home to rugby league side London Broncos, as well as Charlton.

Last season The Addicks averaged attendances of 16,134 at The Valley in their second season back in The Championship.

Supporters can purchase their tickets for the match from Bloomfield Road until Thursday 1pm.

Tickets for the fixture at The Valley are priced as follows:

- £24 for Adults
- £16 for Concessions (Under-21 and Over-60)
- £10 for Under-18s
- £5 for Under-11s
