Manager Apologies Following Heavy DefeatLee Clark apologised for an unacceptable result and performance as Blackpool fell to a 6-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
The manager was left frustrated following an uncharacteristic display from his side that ended a four-match unbeaten run.
"I apologise from myself, my staff and my players for the performance and the result to our supporters," he said.
"The tactical shape I went with didn't really kick in. We changed it a little bit and had a 15-minute spell but we gave some truly awful goals away.
"That wasn't the Blackpool that had been around in the last four games. We were nowhere near the level we've been."
Although the visitors played some good football, such a heavy loss came as a shock.
"They're not top of the league by fluke but we need to do better than we've done today. We're frustrated and disappointed.
"I said all along that we were going to have setbacks, but I wasn't expecting this type of setback. We've got to dust ourselves down because we can't feel sorry for ourselves."
Ahead of what will now be a busy Christmas period, the manager has called on the squad to bounce back in the right manner against Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham.
"We've all got to take responsibility for it. There's no one shirking responsibility, the players have been terrific and given me everything before today. They've got to bounce back now and help us get results.
"We have to erase this result and performance very, very quickly. We've got two massive games over the festive period," he added.
