Manager On Bournemouth TestLee Clark says the never say die attitude Blackpool now have could be crucial when Bournemouth visit Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
Unbeaten in four, The Seasiders have suffered set backs and found a response in recent weeks, and the manager wants more of the same.
“The confidence levels are much better,” said Clark. “There is a belief, togetherness and spirit. In the last two away games we've gone late into the game before getting the equaliser.
“There is a never say die attitude. We can suffer set backs and recover from them now, which was an area that we had to address. When I first came in and the lads were having a set back you could see the confidence drain from them.”
On Saturday The Seasiders come up against the league leaders Bournemouth, who have netted 44 league goals so far this season.
Unbeaten in the league since September, The Cherries will pose a real test for Clark's men, but it's one the manager is confident of overcoming.
“We've got to stop them playing their game, but not just that we've go to focus on playing our game. We must play with intensity and get at them to give them problems with our game plan.
“We know we're right up against it on Saturday against, in my opinion, the best team in the division. We're hopeful the cup tie might have taken something out of them, a tough game against Liverpool and then the travelling up here.
“We know what is expected and we know what we've got to do to be winners in the game. The lads have trained hard this week trying to work on that,” he said.
