Situation Can Help BlackpoolNyron Nosworthy believes Blackpool's players have come together at a similar time in their careers, and have a point to prove.
The defender made his debut in Saturday's draw at Rotherham, and feels the unity on show at the New York Stadium will work in Pool's favour over the winter months.
“Everyone is at a point in their careers where they want to prove to themselves and other people that they can still do the job and perform at a very high level,” he said. “Everyone has come together and is trying to push for the right things.
“The Championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world, but there is enough experience here and wins come with confidence.”
The Seasiders picked up a point at the weekend, with Nosworthy playing the full 90 minutes, but now the defender is looking to go one better.
Still ten points from safety, attention now turns to Birmingham, where the Jamaican international insists three points are a must.
“If we can go on the road and pick up points, then hopefully at home we'll get wins under our belts and shorten the gap. The pressure is then on, and we'll be confident to put a couple of wins away.
“When you're down there everyone is constantly trying to think of the best ways to get out of it, all we can do as players is keep our heads down, stay as a group and work hard on the training ground.
“We need to get results on a Saturday, never give up, do the right things and something will happen,” he said.
