Memorable City MeetingsBlackpool and Birmingham clash for the 85th time on the weekend, and the recent meetings have been full of action and drama.
With both play-off clashes and relegation battles in the not too distant past, here are some memorable moments the two have produced.
Birmingham 2 Blackpool 3 (On Aggregate) - May 2012
The most memorable meeting between the two clubs from a Blackpool perspective came in 2012, when they reached The Championship play-off final at Birmingham's expense. Tom Ince made it advantage Pool after the first leg, before Stephen Dobbie and Matt Phillips made the lead appear comfortable at St Andrew's. However through Nikola Zigic and Curtis Davies Blackpool were given some nervy moments.
Blackpool 2 Birmingham 2 – 26 November 2011
Back in 2011 The Seasiders cancelled out an early Marlon King strike thanks to two goals from full-backs. Stephen Crainey and Neal Eardley had the hosts in front, before Zigic salvaged a point.
Blackpool 1 Birmingham 2 – 22 February 2014
Last season Andy Keogh's sublime volley over the shoulder put Blackpool ahead against Birmingham City. Although it counted for nothing in the 2-1 defeat, the quality of the strike remained.
