Boxing Day Trip
Friday 26 December 2014
Once all of the festivities have past it's back to business for Blackpool, who visit Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.
Eager to put Saturday's defeat to Bournemouth in the past, Lee Clark's side have regrouped and trained well in recent days.
Sheffield Wednesday themselves are looking for a reaction after a 4-0 thumping at Fulham on the weekend.
After an impressive start to the campaign The Owls have fallen away, having picked up just two wins in their previous 14 matches.
The Seasiders will look to take advantage of that factor, as they hope to return from their final away game of 2014 with maximum points.
Clark says Nyron Nosworthy has an outside chance of being fit, after the defender hobbled out of Saturday's defeat. Jacob Mellis has returned to training, but the trip may come to soon for him.
Gary MacKenzie, José Miguel Cubero and Tom Barkhuizen will definitely miss out with injuries.
The Owls will monitor the fitness of Giles Coke, Sam Hutchinson, Lewis Buxton and Kamil Zayatte ahead of the game.
In The Build-Up
Blackpool had gone four matches unbeaten before Saturday's defeat to Bournemouth. Last time on the road The Seasiders picked up a point at Charlton Athletic.
As for The Owls they were beaten 4-0 by Fulham, while Wolves won the last time Wednesday were on home soil on 13 December.
The two sides last met on New Year's Day, when The Owls won 2-0 in South Yorkshire. Blackpool's last victory over Wednesday came in November 2013, when The Seasiders scored twice without reply.
