Bishop Steps Up His Comeback

12 February 2014

Midfielder passes his latest test

Neal Bishop stepped up his comeback from injury yesterday, as he featured in a Blackpool XI that drew with Rochdale.

The midfielder has been out of action since mid-January with a hamstring injury he picked up at Barnsley, and is yet to feature under Barry Ferguson.

However, Bishop made it through the full 90 minutes of the 3-3 draw at Squires Gate and may well be in contention for the trip to Ipswich this weekend.

Ferguson also used the game to give a number of players game time including Nathan Tyson, Michael Chopra and Nathan Eccleston, along with a number of youth team players.

Tyson scored twice for The Seasiders, who’d been given the lead through Chopra’s strike.
