Midfielder on his return to Bloomfield Road
Having re-joined Blackpool until the end of the season, Elliot Grandin has admitted it feels like he is back home.
The Frenchman, who left Crystal Palace last month, has linked up with The Seasiders until the end of the season.
Set to make his second debut at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, Grandin has promised to knuckle down and rekindle his relationship with the home faithful.
“I feel like I’m home, as I know a lot of the players. I’m very happy to be here and the players have been really nice with me,” said Grandin.
“I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans, they’ve always been nice, even near the end when I was not playing a lot, they were still behind me.
“I was not playing (at Palace), it wasn’t an easy decision to leave, but I wanted to play football.
“I feel good in my life, to come back here it’s good for me, I just need to play football and to enjoy it. I’ll now do my best for the fans and for Barry.”
Barry Ferguson played with the midfielder in the past, and saw enough from his previous spell to give him another chance.
“When I knew Fergie was taking charge of the team I thought why not come back and help? Because I feel very well when I’m here and I’m looking forward to playing football again.
“I spoke to Barry and he came back to me, it was very quick. I know him well and I think he knows me, so we have a good relationship. I will give my best on the pitch for him.
“On Saturday I’ll give my best for the team, I worked hard after training to be fit. Maybe I can play a bit, Barry will decide,” said Grandin.
