Angel: One Win Will Change Everything

15 January 2014

Midfielder Backs Team-Mates To Come Good

Angel Martinez has backed his team-mates to come good again and start turning results around.

The midfielder remains calm in the midst of a difficult run of form because he knows that The Seasiders are just three points away from getting their season back on track.

"We know that we are the same team as the start of the season and we just need the results," he told the official website. "In the last matches we did so well and we had chances, but we know that the important thing in football is the result to get the points. We are calm because the points will arrive.

"We have to do our best every day on the training ground to help the young people and the team. We are calm. I'm calm because I know my team-mates and I know the team. I know we were the team that did the best start of the season. We are the same, we just need some confidence and to get in the winning way again."

The first goal has proved crucial in the majority of Blackpool games this season, but it's important that the players can still recover from losing situations.

"We need to be stronger and keep in the match," Angel continued. "We need to keep believing that we can win and change the situation. The first goal is very important and we just need to score the first one and get confidence, get three points and get the winning way.

"When you have injured players and some suspended it is so difficult but everybody is ready. If we have to play out of position then we will play out of position. The important thing is the attitude of the players to be brave and keep believing."

The Seasiders head to Barnsley on Saturday looking to breathe new life into the season, with Angel adamant that a result will work wonders for the remainder of the campaign.

"I'm sure on Saturday we will be ready to get the three points. We always want to win and we are going to get the three points and change everything. I'm sure that just one win will change everything. We are training and working for it," he added.
