Almond and Tomsett in memorable victory
Blackpool loanees Louis Almond and Liam Tomsett both starred in Hyde’s first victory of the season on Tuesday.
At the 31st attempt the Conference Premier side finally tasted success, beating Welling United 2-0, with Almond netting a fine opener described as a 25-yard curling effort.
Tomsett then provided the assist for The Tigers’ second goal on a memorable night for the club.
Almond’s strike was his fourth of the season, and the attacker has 27 appearances to his name so far.
Meanwhile, Tomsett has been a regular in the midfield, playing 24 times and scoring three times.
The duo are on loan at the Greater-Manchester club until the end of the season.
