Manager On Middlesbrough Test

10 January 2014

Paul Ince speaks ahead of Saturday's game

Paul Ince hopes his side can take their positive FA Cup performance into their league form, starting with the visit of his former club Middlesbrough tomorrow.

The Seasiders are without a league win since November, but put in an improved display at Bolton, so it is a happy camp again, according to Ince.

Now they will focus on getting back to winning ways in the first home game of 2014.

“Middlesbrough are a very good side, let’s get that right. We have some games coming up where we could get back to winning ways. Doncaster and Barnsley, I’m not being disrespectful to them, but they’re games we can win.

“In training there is positivity about them, and that is down to the fans. They realised the situation we were in, they lifted us and we put in a very good performance.

“If we can replicate that performance and keep performing like that, then we’ll start winning games,” said Ince.
