Manager On Eagles And FriendlyLee Clark is relishing seeing new signing Chris Eagles on the pitch in a Blackpool shirt.
The winger put pen to paper on a short-term deal with the club on Tuesday, and is available to make his debut on the weekend.
Eagles had been training with the club prior to clinching a deal, and Clark can't wait to see his latest recruit in action.
“He is a very exciting player and a big player in The Championship,” said Clark. “We believe he'll give us some quality going forward and in the attacking areas, so we're looking forward to that.
“He'll excite the team, he'll excite the fans, he'll get everybody at it. Obviously he hasn't played too much, but we'll get him up to the required fitness levels and we think he'll be an exciting player for us.”
Meanwhile on Tuesday The Seasiders were in friendly action at Manchester United, and Clark was pleased with what he saw from his squad.
“It was a terrific work out. We were obviously up against some talented players, but it's something we'll be going forward with during the coming season.
“We need to get the players up to speed, get them up to the required fitness levels, so when they come into the first team they're ready to play.
“They also get the opportunity to try and impress us and force their way into the plans, so all-in-all it was a very good workout,” said Clark.
