Manager On Rotherham DrawLee Clark was pleased with the character of his side on Saturday, as Blackpool scored late to draw at Rotherham United.
The Seasiders were benefiters of a mistake from their hosts, as Steven Davies' strike earned The Seasiders a second successive draw.
“We said on the bench we'll get something if we keep believing, and the players did too,” he said. “We got a little bit of luck go our way, but if you don't believe, and you don't work hard enough, you don't get those bits of luck.
“When you concede so late in the game you take a point and things are going to improve as the weeks go by.
“We've got to try and change these points into three, and how we do that is by not conceding soft goals. If we can start getting clean sheets we've got a great chance.”
Meanwhile Clark handed out three debuts at the New York Stadium, and was pleased with the contributions of Nyron Nosworthy, Kevin Foley and Stuart O'Keefe.
“I thought they all made good contributions. Stuart is a tough one, he played for Crystal Palace in their second Premier League game, and that's his first competitive game since.
“Kevin Foley is of the same ilk and Nyron has played a few internationals for Jamaica, but nothing else, so I think they're doing well under the circumstances.
“Even though I'm bringing these players in they're playing catch-up and there's lots more to come from them as they get fitter,” he said.
