Right-Back Discusses Loan ReturnKevin Foley says he jumped at the chance to return to Blackpool on loan when he heard of Lee Clark's interest.
The right-back, 30, played five games for The Seasiders last season and made an impression on the fans, despite dislocating his shoulder.
Now fit again following surgery in the summer, the Republic of Ireland international is back at Bloomfield Road looking to help out what is a new-look dressing room.
"I had an operation on my shoulder in the summer so it's all good now and I've no worries with that," he said. "I'm just glad to be here and to show what I can do because I know last time it was a bit stop-start for me, which was a bit frustrating.
"I was really eager to come back when I heard that Lee Clark was interested. It's another good opportunity for me to play. There seems to be a good mix of players already and I'm glad to be part of it."
Foley has already seen enough good signs in his first two days back with the club to know that the players can cut the gap in The Championship.
"I've seen the results recently and they've been the odd goal away from getting excellent results. The signs are good.
"Training has been brilliant, it's been at a great high-tempo and it looks like it's a step up from last season to be honest. I'm excited.
"There's a lot of competition for places and some really good players so I'll be trying my best to get in the starting eleven," he added.
