Former Midfielder Takes Charge of Conference SideFormer Blackpool midfielder Gary Brabin has been appointed the new manager of Conference side Southport.
The 43-year-old, who left Luton Town in 2012, recently told The Seasiders' official matchday programme that he was keen on a return to the dugout.
"I certainly want to get back in because that’s my passion. I’m champing at the bit now and I feel like I’ve got all these ideas and energies bursting out of my head, and I’m dying to unleash them," he admitted.
Brabin isn't the first ex-Blackpool connection to take charge of Southport, with Billy Ayre, Allan Brown and Alan Wright having managed the club previously.
