Clarke Returns To Fitness

15 October 2014

Defender Back in Training

Peter Clarke has returned to training and could be fit to face his former-employers on Saturday.

The defender has missed the last four matches with a colon injury, but has been given ample time to recover due to the international break.

He will be available to face Huddersfield Town on the weekend, having fully recovered from his uncomfortable injury.

“I'm feeling more human again,” he said. “It turned out to be a twisted colon, which I wouldn't really wish on anyone.

“Thankfully I saw the right people and got the right treatment.”

15 days will have passed since Blackpool last played when they run out at Huddersfield, and the former-Terriers captain was thankful for the additional break.

“The international break allowed the boys a bit of training and some rest time. Personally it allowed me to get back with the lads, and gave me the opportunity to do plenty of fitness work myself.

“I've been on a sponsored eat and I've got the weight back up which is nice. I'm feeling back to how I was before,” he said.
