Striker Determined To Impress

Nathan Delfouneso aims to repay the faith of the coaching staff with his performances for Blackpool this season.

The forward is keen to show his full potential under the guidance of manager José Riga, having returned to Bloomfield Road for a third spell in tangerine.

"I feel good right now, I feel good about myself and I feel like I can really do something. The coaching staff have faith in me as well and it's good to have that faith," he said.

"I feel like I can be a better player and improve and push on to the next level as well. I'm just looking to kick-on and get my career really flying. Hopefully I can get the club flying as well because I can't do anything without the club my team-mates, the staff and the fans.

"The gaffer has been great with me and I need to repay him with performances and goals. I'm looking to pay back that faith so that we can be a success together."

Delfouneso, who has two goals to his name so far, has also enjoyed working with first-team coach Noel Blake again following their days together at England under-19 level.

"I've known Blakey since I was 16 and he's always been brilliant with me. He's always managed to get success out of me in every team I've been in with him. It's great to have the chance to work with him again," he revealed.

The former Aston Villa has proved to be something of a fans' favourite in his previous stints and he's determined to give the supporters something to shout about.

"I really appreciate the support of the fans, I always want to send them home happy so that they can have smiles on their faces during the week. Hopefully we can build on the good win against Cardiff in the matches coming up."
